A Run Window allows you to specify the time of day that a Job is permitted to run. The current version of the Framework supports a single Run Window per Job.
By default, the Run Window runs from is 00:00 until 00:00, that is, the Job is permitted to run at any time. You may change these parameters, to specify a Run Window of your own choice.
If the start and end times are identical (other than 00:00), the Job will not run.
If a Job starts, and it is outside of its Run Window, or a Persistent Job’s execution takes it outside of its Run Window, the Job will shutdown gracefully. This is not considered an error state.
Executing outside of a Run Window will not cause an already executing Job: TemplateChild to immediately terminate; it will be permitted to complete.
08:00 - 18:00
The Job is permitted to run between 8am and 6pm.
04:00 - 02:00
The Job is permitted to run between 4am and 2am the following day (i.e. do not run between 2am and 4pm)
Remember that you do not always have to specify parameters at Job-level, for example, if you have Server Maintenance between 2am and 4am, you may alter the default Run Window to 04:00 until 02:00.
